Prizren

2-3 July, 2011

I am in Kosovo (the “newest” independent country?). There was no internet at all in Valbona, and the wi-fi here is a little flakey. It may take me a day or two to catch up with the posts, so bear with me. Anyway, I am well and happy and have had a fantastic last few days. Here are some pics of Prizren: !5th c. Ottoman bridge, mosques, Orthodox church, an Ottoman fort on the hill above town and a bunch of GIs from Arkansas. I told them to consider me “embedded” and to try to go about their business as normal. Also, cafe life and people watching. The social hub of the town is the public drinking fountain. The best people watching spots are at one of the cafes close by.
