Split – another place with a plethora of punning possibilities!

I got here from Hvar island yesterday afternoon. My rooms are in the Old City very close to Diocletian’s Palace. Yes, the Roman Emperor whose Baths are in Rome (near Termini where I stayed when I was there) built a palace here. His tomb located in the palace grounds is now a church. I will post pics when I get the wi-fi thingy working (I am in an internet cafe now).

The dorm was full, so they upgraded me to a private apartment at no extra charge. It is small but cute (bed and kitchen very near each other, en-suite bathroom). The normal price is only 50% more than the dorm bed so I think I will stay here until Saturday when I leave for Mostar (Bosnia-Hercegovina) by bus.

Updates soon.
